This webinar is designed to give families and professionals who work in long-term care an overview of music therapy and its benefits when working with individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and other dementias. It will provide an outline of music therapy interventions, ways of contracting music therapists, and guidelines on the application of music with individuals with dementia.

Kamilla is currently the Memory Care Director at Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay, where she shares her passion in music and therapy with her residents. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance and Music Therapy from Michigan State University, and a Masters degree in Music Therapy with a specialty in Dementia and Neurologic Disorders from Western Michigan University. In 2018, she obtained her Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) certification, which prompted her to develop a new music therapy program at Lake Michigan Academy. With more than a decade of experience with neurological disorders, chronic conditions and successfully implementing music therapy, Kamilla is a true asset to our residents, families and leadership team.
